Court cleaning session

We are holding a court cleaning session next Saturday 12th December (the morning after the Christmas Dinner/Dance!) from 11am onwards. The idea is to clean thoroughly the court floors and walls, and the areas above the back walls. We will also try to patch any small holes in the plasterwork. We are writing to you to ask for your manpower (or womanpower) and help.

The Squash Club will provide basic cleaning materials (sponges/scourers, cleaning fluids).

Could you come along in clothing suitable for a couple of hours’ scrubbing, equipped with a bucket or other receptacle, and a packed lunch if required?

Could you provide scrubbing brushes, long handled mops/scourers, brushes or feather dusters, or floor mops?

Do you have a floor cleaning machine suitable for wooden floors?

Are you a plasterer? We have a tub of squash court wall cement - someone with a  bit of expertise would be handy.

Finally, we are unable to go higher than floor level on this occasion (Health & Safety, naturally!). However if you have the correct equipment for this, i.e. staging, with both the knowledge AND INSURANCE to use it properly, and you are prepared to use it for the benefit of the club, could you please get in touch with me, Ian Yates or  Mark Johnson?

Thank you in advance for any help you can provide. It would be useful if you could drop me a note indicating that you are coming, and what you might be able to bring. But above all please bring yourself!

Best wishes,
Nick, Ian, Mark.
